About the Author
Deborah K Mitchell was born in Liverpool and brought up in Cheshire, in the town where Paul Simon is believed to have written Homeward Bound. She stuck around there for 24 years, which was longer than him.

In her lifetime, she’s worked in college libraries, at an opticians, in PR, and for a charity, but mostly at the BBC as a Broadcast Journalist.
Her proudest literary achievement was having a poem published in the Liverpool Echo when she was 9.
She’s a plant-based, beach strolling, cafe lounging, hot chocolate loving, book reading, film watching, graveyard lurking, dog person - who isn’t keen on spiders but doesn’t squish ‘em.
